In November, I had the wonderful opportunity to capture the portraits of the Kreuiter family:  Jason, Niki, handsome son Luke, and beautiful daughter Cali.  I have known Niki since seventh grade when I was at Teague Middle School; she was one of my sister's best friends.  We even played in the Nimitz High School Marching Band together; Niki was a percussionist (snare drum) while I played the B-flat clarinet.

After some discussion about where to take their photographs, we decided on the Lakeland Activity Center which is in the Bridgeland master planned community in Cypress, Texas.  They have some very nice scenery there with a lake, flowers, bridge, and a covered playground for the kids.  Even though it was extremely windy that day, I think we were able to capture some beautiful photographs of this wonderful family.

We started off with the group family shot on the bridge.  I really like this photograph because it shows the close connection between all of the family members.

Jason had a tender moment with Cali.  In the distant future, this is one of those photographs that he will stare at fondly once Cali is a grown woman with a family of her own.  As a father, I know that she will always be his "little girl."

After getting some great photographs of the family, the kids wanted to play at the awesome playground.  As you can see, they had a great time!

To finish the session, Jason and Niki wanted some photographs of just the two of them together as a couple.

It was a great experience not only to take the Kreuiter family's photographs, but also to catch up with a great friend that I hadn't seen in many years!
